I am thrilled to join St. James School as an Academic Support teacher. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology from Sacred Heart University- Go Pioneers! I also have a Master's Degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University and am nearing the completion of a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Hartford. Previously, I worked as a teacher's assistant in a Pre-k 5 classroom and have worked tutoring elementary school students in reading and mathematics. I believe that academic success is driven by each student’s individuality and strive to help my students develop a love of learning. Prior to teaching, I spent more than twenty years working in marketing communications for the healthcare and technology industries. I decided to change careers because I knew I could make a difference working with children. My time outside of the classroom is spent with my husband and our four children.
