Mind, Body and Spirit.
We need a great deal of support from our parent community and we know that as always you will pull through! Here’s what you can do…

JINGLE JOG – Take part in our Sixth Annual Jingle Jog, held right before the Christmas Fair. This family fun and healthy event that kicks off the festivities. Greet our “special guest” who will arrive courtesy of the Stratford Fire Department. Stay tuned to reserve a Jingle Jog T-shirt or register to participate!
Publicity - We need folks to put up posters at local stores, churches, schools — anywhere that Christmas Shoppers may be found! Do you own a local business or know someone who does where you can pin up a flyer? The posters are 11×17 inches. Please call us if you want us to send some home or stop in to pick up a poster in the office.
Decorate & Donate – On November 10th, from 11:30 – 7:00 p.m., we need lots of help decorating and spreading the Holiday cheer throughout the building the week prior to the fair to create Christmas cheer. If you have unwanted decorations that add a bit of sparkle to our event, please send them in to the office on the 8th.
Volunteer Help – If you have not already, you can sign up to help prepare for the event and also to work that day. Many hands make for light work! If you are willing, email us at info.sjschool@sjssct.org
Christmas Fair Classroom Theme Baskets – Each homeroom is assigned a theme and each student’s family asked to donate toward the basket. If you have unopened or unused items/Christmas gifts, etc.…that would fit in with one of our themes, we will gladly accept your donation. If you don’t have time to shop — send cash/check and we’ll do it for you! Donations by on November 12th!
A Bottle of Cheer – We request donations of bottles of wine and other spirits that we will raffle off at the fair. These may not be brought in to school by students (adults only, please). Please send your donation by Thursday, November 14th.
Christmas Fair Bake Sale – We hope lots of folks would be willing to make homemade treats to sell at our bakery booth. Baked goods are to be dropped off as per instructions on the flyer, but no later than Saturday morning, November 16th.
Attic Treasures – We need help the day of the fair as well as all your good junk! Spread the word to family and friends to clean out your closets and pack-up the stuff you don’t need anymore, which still has some life in it (no clothes). We will start collecting items on September 30th. These may be dropped at the main entrance at the stairway landing off to the side.
Children’s Booster Table – We need donations of small toys or “prize” items for our children’s booth. We will collect these in the office until 11/15.
